This is a sponsored post, which means that I am being financially compensated for my time in reviewing this product and managing the Giveaway. You're getting introduced to a great tool that I truly love and I get paid a little to help keep my bloggy-lights on. Win-win!
As part of working on our (De)Clutter Buddies Challenge, I've been preparing to have a garage sale. A few weeks ago I said, “This is the weekend! Let's do it!” and I started pulling everything I wanted to sell out onto the porch. Papa the Farmer was not impressed at having to walk through a garage sale every time he wanted to come in the front door, but I assured him it was just for a short time. And then someone called and said “Can my family come visit for the first weekend in September?” I didn't bother myself with the minor detail of looking at a calendar to see if I had anything going on (and I didn't make the connection that “the first weekend” was the very next weekend!) so I said, “Sure! Come on over!” not realizing that I had already made plans (and had created a no-curb-appeal garage sale on the porch). Then I got another phone call. “Hey, can we come over on labor day weekend?” For the most part we have an open-door policy so of course I said, “Sure! That would be great!” again, not troubling myself to see if I was double (or triple!) booking myself! I ended up having 15 potential houseguests AND a garage sale all booked for the same weekend!
Y'all, I didn't used to be like this. There was a time in my life when I looked at calendars, wrote things down and planned ahead. I'm not sure how I got away from it but somehow, when I became a stay at home wife and mother I stopped writing things down. I didn't have a planner that was practical for my new life so I quit planning ahead and just stayed in Survival Mode.
Recently one of my organized writes-everything-down-and-never-triple-books-herself-friends introduced me to the Homemakers Friend Day Planner. I LOVE IT! Created by a homemaker for homemakers, it has exactly what I need! There's nothing missing and there's nothing extra! Plus it's 5″x7″ so it's the perfect size for carrying in my purse. I like it so much that I created this video to give you a tour and show you exactly what's in it. Please take a few minutes to watch the video and then I'll tell you how you can get a great deal on a Homemakers Friend Planner for yourself! (If you're reading this in your email or an RSS reader you may have to click through to the blog to see the video.)
I made a vague reference to it in the video… but the Homemakers Friend Planner isn't just for homemakers! FarmGirl has her own planner and she loves planning her week, writing down her Bible Readings and school assignments, counting down the days until her birthday, decorating the pages, etc. Clearly, she is her father's daughter and is not going to grow into the kind of adult who triple books herself!
