Kill-A-Cold Sandwich (The Official Recipe!)

Serves: 1 sandwich
  • 2 slices bread
  • 3 Tablespoons (approx) chopped garlic
  • a hand full of fresh greens
  • ¼ cup broccoli slaw or sprouts (optional)
  • half a tomato, sliced
  • some chopped onions, to taste
  • a wee drizzle of honey (optional)
  • salt to taste
  1. Toast the bread. My preference is Ezekiel Bread (which is NOT gluten free).
  2. Generously spread the minced garlic over your bread. It is said by some that garlic is nature's strongest antibiotic, so you want to be generous. On the other hand, garlic has traditionally been used to lower blood pressure, so if that's an issue with you, do be careful! To make life easy, I like to buy minced garlic in a jar. Watch Out! Some minced garlic contains sugar and other bad ingredients. The last thing you need when you're trying to build up your immune system is sugar hidden in your garlic!
  3. You might drizzle a little honey over the garlic, if you'd like.
  4. Now add a handful of fresh greens, tomato slices, chopped onions and sprouts (or broccoli slaw).
  5. Put the bread together like a sandwich and enjoy!
