Yesterday I posted the story of Tiggy, a 21 month old baby who died and whose parents are now raising money in his honor to build a home for little girls rescued from sex trafficking. I told you about a road trip the family is taking and how they are going to stop at various locations along the way for fellowship, fun and fundraising! I told you that they’ll be stopping here at the Good Old Days Farm and I invited you to host a fundraiser if you live along their route!
But what if you don’t live along their route? What if you want to help, but you don’t live close enough to the Good Old Days Farm to come to one of our local events? Well, I have good news for you! There are still ways to help!
If you’d like to make a financial donation, you can donate directly to Tiggy’s House via Tiny Hands International. Simply select “Tiggy’s House” from the Choose a Charity menu fond on their donation page. Or, you can mail a check with “Tiggy’s House” written in the memo line to:
Tiny Hands International
P.O. Box 67195
Lincoln, NE 68506
You might consider hosting a gathering at your home, similar to the ones Tiggy’s family will be attending on their road trip. If they can come, I know they would love to, but even if they can’t, have your gathering, have a great time, and then mail the donations to the address above. We’ll be hosting a taco party (everyone brings their own taco topping and I supply the shells and the filling) and a dessert party where everyone bring a dessert. Another lady will be making lunch for all her guests. You might decide to have a mini-pizza party, a tea party, nachos, fondue, bread that you dip in fancy oils… the possibilities are endless!
There are also ways to support Tiggy’s House while you shop!
Sioux Baumgartner, a Discovery Toys representative is donating 100% of her commission to Tiggy’s House. (I’m sorry. This offer hoas now expired.)
Click here if you need Tupperware! Sioux Baumgartner is also donating 100% of her commission on Tupperware sales to Tiggy’s House if you use her site! (I’m sorry, this offer has now expired.)
Valentine’s day is coming up! Do you need some handmade jewellery? Tiggys House has its own Etsy shop that sells Kumihimo jewellery and hairclips! Here are some samples (Click on the photo to purchase!)
And of course, Tiggy’s mom Dana writes the blog Roscommon Acres. 100% of the commission earned through any affiliate links or advertising on that site also supports Tiggy’s House! Her blog is amazing, and highly, highly recommend it!
Update!!! We’ve picked a date! The Good Old Days Farm will be hosting a Taco Party on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 11:00am – 4:00pm. We will also be hosting a Dessert Night on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 6:30pm – 10:00pm. Tiggy’s father has prepared an inspirational talk, so if you live close enough to Blue Ridge, TX, please come, even if you can’t donate! You will be blessed by hearing what he has to say and we’d love the fellowship! If possible, I ask that you bring your favorite taco topping to the taco party (filling and shells will be provided) or your favorite dessert to the dessert party!
